Judge Dismisses Suit Against Orbis Parent Company
A U.S. District Judge in California has dismissed most parts of a lawsuit filed against NDS Group plc, which owns sports betting software maker Orbis.
The lawsuit had been filed by DirecTV, which alleged that NDS had committed fraud, breach of warranty and had violated the Federal Communications Act.
DirecTV is owned by Hughes Electronic Corp., which is a division of General Motors (GM).
The other claims that DirecTV made against NDS relate to the alleged revelation of trade secrets. NDS said the claims are without merit.
