Betcorp Acquires Cybersportsbook Through Sinsational
Betcorp Ltd (BCL.AX), the Australian parent company of Antigua-based BetWWTS has acquired Sinsational, the Antigua-based holding company of Cybersportsbook.com, for $6.15 million. Betcorp says it will rapidly assimilate Cybersportsbook into BetWWTS.
Z4P Acquires 100 Percent of SMS-TV Gaming Technology Firm
Zone4Play, Inc (ZFPI.OB), a company that provides multi-platform gaming solutions, has acquired the minority interest in SMS-TV gaming company MiXTV. The deal gives Z4P sole ownership of MiXTV's patented broadcast TV technology, including all of its intellectual property rights. In mid April MiXTV will launch a broadcast SMS-TV interactive fixed-odds betting platform in conjunction with The Poker Channel, a new television channel dedicated to poker that will air on the Sky network in the United Kingdom. Z4P acquired the remaining shares of MiXTV from NetFun Ltd, an Israeli company with which Z4P founded MiXTV in June 2004.
World Bingo League Begins Trading
Nevada-based World Bingo League Co., Inc. (WBLG.PK) announced last week that the company's common shares had begun trading on the pink sheets market. The company plans to develop proprietary online bingo software systems for use on the Internet including a live webcast of real-time game play and significant progressive jackpots generated by multiple licensees. WPT Enterprises Inc (WPTE), creator of the World Poker Tour, has revealed its financial results for the fourth quarter and entire year 2004 ended January 2, 2005. The quarter's highlights include strong holiday sales of World Poker Tour-branded consumer products, the Anheuser-Busch Michelob AmberBock sponsorship of Season 3 of the World Poker Tour, the closing of agreements to expand the World Poker Tour TV show to the Caribbean and Latin America, and an agreement with I-gaming software provider WagerWorks to develop a real-money World Poker Tour-branded Internet site. The company recorded $5.7 million in revenue in the final quarter of 2004, compared to just $379,000 in 2003. For the entire year 2004 the company received $17.6 million in revenue while in 2003 it received $4.3 million. Annual earnings were $752,000, or $.04 per fully diluted share.
