Australian company ecorp Ltd. (ECP) reported recently that its EBITDA losses for fiscal 2002 have fallen 82 percent to AU$1.3 million from $7 million last year. ecorp has 50 percent ownership of CrownGames, an online gaming site that launched in January 2002. Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd. (PBL) owns the other 50 percent of it.

Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd. (PBL) is reporting yearend profit of AU$268.2 million compared with a loss of $84.6 million the previous year. The company, which is a half-owner of CrownGames, said the online gaming venture produced solid results based on its VIP Program Play.

Arena Leisure plc (ARE) reports that its group turnover increased by 23 percent to £15.6 million in the six months to June 30. The company experienced an improvement in EBITDA of £3.4 million to £1.9 million after reporting an EBITDA loss of £2.4 million last year. Arena said the performance of attheraces, the group's betting site and interactive racing channel, has been in line with expectations.

Rank Group plc (RANKY) is reporting earnings per share of 7.9 pence, a 15 percent increase in the six months to June 30. The U.K.-based company launched Rank Interactive Gaming last year and HardRockCasino.com in July. The latter site offers casino games.
