Adolfo Felipe Blanco Tatto, director general of Mexico's lottery, Pronosticos para la Asistencia Publica, says that within a month his company will for the first time make a lottery product available for purchase over the Internet.
The first game to go live online is scratch card game Raspaditos, which currently represents about 3 percent of Pronosticos' total sales. The goal is to raise the figure to 10 percent.
Tatto indicated that the company plans to continue diversifying its products across new distribution channels.
