MGM Mirage Secures More CityCenter Financing

5 August 2008

MGM Mirage Inc. has a lock on more than half of its funding for a CityCenter Project, which sent shares up almost nine percent.

The colossal “mini-city” has estimated building costs at $9.1 billion and will span 68 acres between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo on the Las Vegas Strip.

This comes as a silver lining to a 69 percent decline in MGM’s quarterly profit, which one could blame on the sluggish United States economy,

In addition to CityCenter, MGM is working on a number of projects including a $5 billion casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
