(PRESS RELEASE) -- Michigan’s commercial and tribal internet gaming operators reported a combined total of $302.7 million in gross receipts from internet gaming and internet sports betting for September. This reflects a 3.1% decrease compared to August.
Monthly Gross ReceiptsiGaming gross receipts for September totaled $259.1 million, down from $263.27 million in August. Gross sports betting receipts were $43.6 million, down from $49.27 million recorded in the previous month.
Monthly Adjusted Gross ReceiptsCombined adjusted gross receipts for iGaming and internet sports betting reached $256.6 million in September. Of that total, $243.4 million came from iGaming, and $13.2 million came from internet sports betting. This marks a 1.5% decrease in iGaming AGR and a 61.3% decrease in sports betting AGR compared to August. Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 33.5%, while sports betting AGR decreased by 52.0% compared to September 2024.
Monthly HandleThe total internet sports betting handle was $524.3 million in September, a 54.7% increase from the $338.9 million recorded in August.
Monthly State Taxes and PaymentsOperators reported submitting $51.6 million in state taxes and payments in September, including:
- iGaming taxes and fees: $50.8 million
- Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $768,038
Monthly City of Detroit Taxes and PaymentsDetroit’s three commercial casinos reported $13.4 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit in September, including:
- iGaming taxes and fees: $13.0 million
- Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $375,738
Monthly Tribal Operator PaymentsTribal operators reported $6.1 million in payments made to their respective governing bodies in September.

As of September 2025, 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to offer iGaming and/or internet sports betting in Michigan. Currently, 11 operators offer internet sports betting, and 14 offer iGaming.
