Among third quarter 1999 highlights, PWC found that venture capital investments reached an all-time year-to-date high of $21 Billion. In comparison, venture capitalists spent $14 billion for all of 1998.
Investments in Internet-related companies totaled $5.2 billion for the third quarter. Additionally, the number of venture capitalist companies investing in the Internet went from 142 in third-quarter 1998 to 473 in third-quarter 1999.
