Ladbrokes is unleashing two new television advertising campaigns.
The first campaign, a plug for LadbrokesBingo.com funded by £2 million, is set to air beginning this week. A second £2 million campaign for LadbrokesCasino.com will air beginning airing in April. The casino commercials feature documentary-style stories that involves individuals with bizarre behavior going to extremes to satisfy their need for excitement. The results are comical, yet fatal.
Ladbrokes was the first company to take advantage of relaxed gambling advertising standards for broadcast television. Its first campaign, featuring football heroes in a diner, drew many complaints, but the Advertising Standards Authority said it breached no rules.
