Despite Intralot’s early-August statement reassuring it was financially on track in the Victorian market, the Herald Sun reports that the Greece-based company is plagued by delays, failing computer systems and unpopularity of its games.
Moreover, leaked figures show total sales for the company’s games are at about 1 million Australian dollars a week, which the paper reports, is 4 million Australian dollars below projections. The Age added to speculation of the company’s performance earlier this month, when it obtained figures that showed Intralot planned for 8.1 million Australian dollars in sales on Lucky Bingo but only made 90,000 Australian dollars in July.
An industry insider told the Herald Sun, “(They) didn't thoroughly prepare or research the Australian market, and now they're paying the price.”
