NOW ‘ADVERGAMING’ The Las Vegas Review-Journal is launching a branded online games channel with Zen Gaming that will incorporate the National League of Poker’s Web site, a Massachusetts-based online poker site, reports Editor and Publisher.

According to the journal, the Journal-Review hopes to bank on Zen Gaming’s “advergaming” concept by using the information captured from player registrations to boost its database. The Las Vegas-based holding company put advergaming to the test on NLOP.com, a company it acquired last year.

“We have the ability to create private brand and tournament experiences for our advertisers and sponsors,” Michael Clebnik, National League of Poker’s chief executive, told IGamingNews last December about advergaming on NLOP.com.

“We can create a specialized tournament for them where the entire game table and the interface around the game table is customized...,” he added.
