Q3s from Chartwell -- Chartwell Technology has released unaudited third-quarter results, which show revenue up 11 percent to $5.3 million, compared to $4.7 million in Q3 2006. EBITDA for the quarter was $1.1 million against $1.0 million last year. The Toronto-listed company said it continues to maintain a strong balance sheet through positive cash flow and positive working capital. At July 31, the company reported $14.1 million in cash and short-term investments.

VC Appoints New Marketing Director -- Victor Chandler has appointed Carl Bridge as marketing director, who will take up his post before the end of September. Bridge previously headed customer marketing at Virgin Money.

LiveHive Hits ESPN, NFL -- LiveHive Systems has reached agreements with the ESPN and the NFL's San Francisco 49ers to launch its NanoGaming product--an in-game, real-time prediction solution--during televised broadcasts beginning this fall. The Ontario-based software company launched similar offerings via agreements with Turner Sports and Nascar.com in July. "With millions of viewers tuning into football each week, it won’t be long before viewers expect real-time interactive TV like the NanoGaming experience, for all their favorite sports and TV shows," said LiveHive President Dave Bullock.

Another Malta Licensee -- Inside Gaming has obtained a remote gaming license from the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority. The company, which in July migrated to the Playtech platform, also said it had been audited and received its Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. "We are extremely pleased to offer our clients licensing in a jurisdiction suitable for the United Kingdom," said Inside Gaming Director Richard Hogg. "In taking security very seriously, gaining PCI compliance sustains our ambition to provide our clients with safe and secure gaming solutions."

Ethoca, TGN Partner Up -- Internet data management group Ethoca has agreed to supply The Gaming Network (TGN) with its data sharing services. "TGN continuously evaluates ways to enhance our value offering to our client base, and with industry leaders like bwin and 888 signed up to the Ethoca data sharing service, we see the clear value data sharing can offer our clients," said TGN Managing Director Simon Beeson.

Former Cantor CEO Joins WagerWorks -- Former Cantor Gaming Chief Executive Tom Kenny has joined IGT subsidiary WagerWorks as commercial director. "I am pleased to join WagerWorks at such an exciting time in the company's development," said Kenny.

Coming Soon -- Via an agreement with Marvel Entertainment, CryptoLogic will develop I-casino games featuring comic book characters Spiderman and the Fantastic Four, scheduled to launch in December.

£2 Million Sale -- The U.K. media reports that Talarius-owned CyberSlotz.co.uk is for sale. The site, founded in 2001, is valued at £2 million and is consistently ranked by Hitwise in its top ten for the United Kingdom. 14 buyers have reportedly expressed interest.

Stock Watch -- On the LSE, Playtech was down 7.50p to 355, William Hill was up 3p to 646.50 and 888 was up 0.75p to 118.
