RESIGNING
Dominic Mansour, who has been the chief executive of
Bingos.com since April 2008, has left the company to "explore new opportunities,"
NetPlay TV announced on Thursday.
"… Having built, lived and breathed the Bingos.com business from scratch over the past 5 years, I feel like it's a good time for a new challenge," Mr. Mansour said in a company statement.
Mr. Mansour served as Bingos.com's managing director for four years before NetPlay TV acquired the company in early 2008.
Gavin Whyte, chief executive of Supercasino.com, will become the managing director of Bingos.com and assume responsibility for day-to-day operations, Netplay TV said.
According to Netplay TV, Mr. Mansour previously worked as managing director for GlobalCom London and launched the company's bingo software product, which was later bought by 888 Holdings.
Daniel O'Mahony, Boylesports' chief executive, has also resigned from his post for 'personal reasons,' the Irish bookmaker announced on Thursday.
Both David Chapman, the company's chairman, and John Boyle, Boylesports' managing director, will take over Mr. O'Mahony's duties until a replacement is found, the company said.
Mr. O'Mahony joined the company five and a half years ago and also served as its commercial director for a period.
"We are all sorry to see him depart," said John Boyle, founder of Boylesports, in a company statement. "We respect Daniel’s decision, and we wish him the very best for the future."
Mr. Boyle added that Mr. O'Mahony's successor will be named shortly.
TEAM EFFORT
Using members from its Web site, PKR has put together Team PKR Pro -- a group of poker personalities who will represent the operator at major poker events.
The six-person team includes Ashley Hames, British TV celebrity, Andrew Teng, The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour winner, Kai Danilo Paulsen, 2008 Irish Open finalist, as well as Raymond O’Mahoney, James Sudworth and Henrik Eklund.
"We’ve been following our initial Team PKR Pro members for some time and are convinced that they all have the game and personality required to be genuinely world class poker players," said Simon Prodger, PKR's marketing director, in a statement.
