PARTNERING Astra Games Ltd. has signed a deal with Orbis Technology Ltd. for its OpenBet system, the company has announced.

According to the agreement, Astra and Novomatic A.G., on Novomatic's recently launched remote gaming system, will make a games library available through Orbis’ OpenBet system.

“With the pedigree of game themes available in both Novomatic's and Astra's outstanding library, it was critical that we formed a partnership with a provider that promoted the qualities and standards essential in delivering the games in a form that meets with the high expectations players have of Novomatic products,” said Zane Mersich, managing director of Astra.

GOING GAGA Not only is Bwin Interactive Entertainment A.G.’s logo featured in Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face” music video, the I-gaming operator has teamed up with the singer for a promotional poker game.

On LadyGagaGame.com, players of “PokerIsland Quest” use poker skills to bypass paparazzi and security guards in order to get premium seating at a Lady GaGa concert, according to Bwin.

The Vienna company said that players with “successful” scores will receive a $50 bonus at its Web site.

MOBILE WAGERING Sona Mobile Holdings, a New York-based software solutions provider, has launched its mobile wagering application for New Jersey Account Wagering L.L.C. and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, the company announced on Tuesday.

The application, called mWager, will extend the functionality of New Jersey Account Wagering's current online wagering system by giving its customers the ability to wager on thoroughbred racing through mobile phones and P.D.A.s, the company said.

“We are excited to be in an elite group of racing jurisdictions to be live with mobile wagering,” said Lennon Register, senior vice president of Racing for New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, in a prepared statement.
