DEAL MAKERS
Parlay Entertainment Inc. and
NextGen Gaming have partnered to bring the Australia-based supplier's latest gaming suite to the ParlayGames portfolio.
Announced on Wednesday, the deal will integrate NextGen's flash-based games into Parlay's back-office system and make it available to customers during the next few months.
"… This project will be managed in such a way that it is delivered as a simple software upgrade to our existing customers and as an integral part of the Parlay product suite for new prospects," said Scott F. White, Parlay's chief executive, in a prepared statement.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
EXPANDING
Bettorlogic, the betting analytics company, has released its first business-to-consumer and trading products.
"Form Lab PRO," a business-to-consumer subscription product, is tailored for high-end football bettors who want to create any soccer league pre-match or in-play scenario.
The company's second new product, "Trader Lab," focuses on sportsbook compilers -- allowing them to receive analysis on the impact of individual players, player combinations and team formations.
NEW LINEUP
CryptoLogic Ltd. unveiled its newest game lineup today, which features "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare."
The popular video game has been transformed into a 25 pay-line slot game. Featuring animation and sound effects similar to the original game, the new slot also has an interactive bonus round to recreate the video game experience.
Also included in the downloadable game lineup are " Millionaires Club III," "Samba Nights," "Reel in the Cash" and "Penguins in Paradise."
APPOINTING
Magna Entertainment Corporation has announced the appointment of Greg Rayburn as its interim chief executive. The appointment, however, is subject to the approval of the United States Bankruptcy Court, it said.
In March, the struggling racecourse operator filed for bankruptcy because of mounting debt and interest expense. If approved, Mr. Rayburn, currently a senior managing director at FTI Palladium Partners, will take on Magna's restructuring activities and the sale of its assets as chief executive.
In addition to the chief executive appointment, Warren Mosler has been named as an independent member of Magna's board of directors.
ADDING UP
Intralot S.A. has picked up another contract in the United States. The Athens-based company said Wednesday it will develop, refine and implement instant ticket services for the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.
Last week Intralot beat out Gtech Corporation, a long-time partner of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation, for the state's new online and instant gaming systems contract.
Starting on July 1, 2009, the two-year contract is expected to generate $5.5 million per year with options to extend for three additional two-year periods, the company said.
