REPORTING
In Rank Group's interim management statement, which was released on Wednesday, the company reported a 1 percent year-over-year decline in like-for-like revenue for its first 16 weeks to April 19.
The group's interactive arm reported a 13 percent revenue decline.
That drop, Rank said, was impacted by its sportsbook operation, which down a staggering 52 percent because of "abnormally low win margin on football bets."
On Thursday, the group announced that it has acquired the The Isle Casino at Coventry for £650,000.
LAUNCHING
Talarius has unveiled its latest online offering, Quicksilver Games, using Virtue Fusion Alderney Ltd.'s bingo software and network.
Launching on Wednesday, Talarius' offering is now part of the gaming solutions provider's aggregated bingo network that shares jackpots between all of its partners. Virtue Fusion said that Talarius is the first Maltese operator it has signed.
"We are looking forward to working with their team over the coming years," said Bob McCulloch, Virtue Fusion's chief executive, in a prepared statement.
Also launching: a community-based mah-jongg from Mahjong Time in conjunction with 343 Sports Group, one of the gaming provider's licensees.
The company, which is part-owned by CryptoLogic Ltd., said the new solution is a customized mah-jongg game to go along with the existing Chinese-language site's content, which covers sports, lottery and entertainment.
The custom game features tournament-style four-player mah-jongg under all the Chinese official and Hong Kong rules, Mahjong Time said.
"Our site visitors are very mah-jongg savvy, and we are certain that our mahjong game will provide these visitors with the real mahjong experience they demand," said Leo Ma, 343 Sports Group's vice president, in a company statement.
