BETS ON Betfair, the betting exchange, announced today that customers can now bet directly into the Irish Tote’s pool with their Betfair accounts.

The partnership between Betfair and Tote Ireland mimics similar relationships the bookmaker has with the United Kingdom and Australian Totes. Previously, bets on Irish Totes could be placed on two other Web sites but not from a traditional bookmaker or exchange.

“Betfair customers will now have an even greater betting choice on Irish racing,” said Graham Ross, Betfair’s country manager in Ireland, in a prepared statement. “The Irish Tote pools will benefit from the wider reach that they now have.”

Betfair users can access Tote Ireland pools that include Tote Win, Place & Each Way, Tote Forecast, Tote Trio and the Tote Jackpot and Placepot.
