Sports Gaming Journal -- Casino Marketing Group, which publishes the Sports Gaming Journal and the News Report newspapers, will unveil the premiere issue of its European Edition at the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) in London next month. Full scale distribution will take place shortly after, with delivery going to U.K. betting shops and newsstands as well as to the home addresses of gamblers in the company's European and Australian databases. The European Edition will differ from the North American Edition in that the main focus will be on soccer, cricket, rugby and other popular European Sports, while North American sports will be limited to an internal subsection.
Reality Casino TV -- On Jan. 5, the Discovery Channel will begin producing American Casino, a 13-episode reality series covering the Fertitta family and its Green Valley Ranch branch of Stations Casinos. Producer Craig Pilgian says "It's one of the last family-run outfits in Vegas. There are a lot of elements when we pick a venue, including the relationships with the brothers and the family and how they interface." The Fox television network is also planning to offer a reality series called Casino, focusing on the day-to-day activities of Thomas Breitling and Timothy Poster-- two entrepreneurs who purchased the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas--and the rest of the Nugget's staff and patrons.
