Real-Money Fun -- FUN Technologies subsidiary WorldWinner has entered into an agreement with casual games provider PopCap Games, whereby WorldWinner will provide cash competitions on PopCash.com targeting North American residents. "By further developing our relationship with PopCap, we are able to expand our list of popular game titles," said WorldWinner President Peter Blacklow.
Mas Match-Fixing? -- Following reports of irregular betting patterns Uefa has revealed that 15 matches from this season's Champion's League and Uefa Cup are currently under investigation on suspicion of match-fixing. The story was first reported in German magazine Der Spiegel, and according the BBC, Der Spiegel alleges that the vast majority of clubs involved come from countries in eastern and southeastern Europe, with Bulgaria, Georgia, Serbia, Croatia and the Baltics among those named.

One Bear of an Appeal -- In entirely unrelated news, British teacher Gillian Gibbons, jailed in Sudan for allowing her students to name a teddy bear Mohammad, left Khartoum for Britain today after securing a pardon. Gibbons, sentenced Thursday to 15 days in jail and deportation for insulting Islam, was pardoned after an appeal by two prominent British Muslims to Sudan's president for her early release. "I have great respect for the Islamic religion and would not knowingly offend anyone," Gibbons said in a written statement. "I am sorry if I caused any distress."
