International Pitch -- U.K. Minister for Sport Richard Caborn is reportedly revisiting the possibility formulating international regulations on Internet gambling. England is already planning to host an international I-gaming summit later this year to which representatives from all gaming jurisdictions will be invited to discuss the growing concerns over the safety of the I-gaming industry.

Reneging Rebounder -- Basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman has withdrawn from serving as commissioner of the 2006 Lingerie Bowl due to contractual obligations to online casino GoldenPalace.com, for whom he has been a spokesman for more than two years, according to Rodman's agent, Darren Prince. The Lingerie Bowl, which is now being sponsored by online casino Bodog.com, will air on Pay-per-View during Super Bowl XL's halftime.

Poker Sponsorship -- Paddypowerpoker.com has announced that it will sponsor the 25th Annual Irish Open poker tournament to be held in Dublin April 14-17, 2006. Paddypower is kicking in €50,000 to the €1 million guaranteed prize pool for the event, started by the late Irish bookmaker Terry Rogers and his friend and colleague Flood in 1981. "Forget the Ryder Cup, this is going to be the biggest, baddest and best sporting event in Ireland this year," said a Paddy Power spokesman. "It's not often the man on the street gets a chance to put his money where his mouth is against the best in the world, especially not when there's a million euro up for grabs. It'll be a nice little Easter nest egg for somebody, and I for one can't wait to watch the best of the best put each other to the sword."
