US Tidbit -- GameColony.com will endorse the 2nd Annual World Series of Gin Rummy, the skill-based Web site said today. The competition, which is produced by the Gin Rummy Association, will take place from April 27-30 at the Riveria Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. At last year's event there were 126 players and the winner took home a $40,000 prize.

Making Deals -- Both Boss Media and CryptoLogic announced deals with online bookmaker William Hill today. Boss Media, of Sweden, said it will be providing William Hill with what it calls a "super back office" system that will be compatible with gaming software from any technology provider. Boss is also providing William Hill with a license to use its casino software in six languages and two currencies. CryptoLogic, of Canada, said it has extended its current agreement with William Hill for both casino and poker offerings.

Names and Faces -- The president and chief executive officer of Loto-Quebec, Gaetan Frigon, said in mid-February that he will resign his position and return to the public sector. Frigon is said to be taking at post at Publipage, an advertising firm he started with his wife in 1996. He is resigning amid allegations that he purchased paintings in violation of ethics rules.
