SportXction on Ladbrokes -- Interactive Systems Worldwide Inc (ISWI) has signed an agreement through its subsidiary Global Interactive Gaming Limited (GIG) that will allow British bookmaker Ladbrokes to offer the SportXction play-by-play sports wagering platform to its customers. Ladbrokes will initially provide SportXction's betting markets on the Internet only, but the company is also evaluating whether it should deploy SportsXction across its mobile phone and interactive television platforms as well. GIG will receive a share of wagering revenue, and SportXction will be available in multiple languages and currencies. The agreement is for an initial 18-month period.
You're In The Money -- Hilton Group investors reportedly stand to gain a £4.2 billion return following yesterday's £3.3billion sale of the international hotel business to its U.S. namesake partner Hilton Hotels Corporation, leaving the group with only its betting shops division, Ladbrokes. The returns will come mainly through a special dividend early in the second quarter. Ladbrokes will maintain its policy of not taking bets from the U.S. due to the political climate, but has hinted at exploring entrance into the U.S. in the future.
Fantasy Football -- Gextech, a solutions provider to the gaming industry with offices in London, Barcelona and New York last month signed a contract with Skybet, the interactive betting arm of British broadcaster BSkyB, to develop a virtual football betting game for UK iTV channel, Sky Vegas Live.
Court Transfer -- Home Gambling Network, a company owns a patented method of wagering on live games and events, announced that it has successfully transferred a lawsuit from the U.S. District court for the Central District of California to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District for Nevada in Las Vegas. The lawsuit had been filed by Peter Kjaer of Silver Arrow Ltd and Profit Networks. Kjaer is also CEO of DrHo888.com and his wife Angela Ho is president of the company. Home Gambling Network did not state the nature of the case.
