Lottomatica to Bid for UK National Lottery License -- Italy-based lotteries operator Lottomatica S.p.A. has announced its plans to bid for the U.K. National Lottery license. Bloomberg.com quotes Lottomatica Chairman Lorenzo Pellicioli as saying that the company intends to make a joint bid with current National Lottery operator Camelot Group. Bids for the 10-year license are due Feb. 9, 2007, with the winner to be named in August.
