Another Exec Apprehended -- Victor Chandler CEO Michael Carlton was reportedly detained this morning in Israel and held for up to two hours helping with enquiries. The specific nature of the enquiries is not yet known. Carlton reportedly appeared on a local TV program last night expressing his opinions about how online gambling should be legal in the country, which has taken a hard line on the subject in recent weeks. Israel-based Interlogic, which operates the skill games site Play65.com, was notified by Israeli authorities in December that its operation of a real-money gambling site for backgammon constituted a criminal offense. Major General Yohanan Danino, head of the Police Investigations and Intelligence unit, last month also warned credit card companies operating in Israel against continued handling of gambling money deposits.
