InstaCash off Limits -- Payment processor Neteller has discontinued its InstaCash gambling transaction service for gambling Web sites. U.S.-based customers trying to use the service are now being greeted with a message stating that the InstaCash option has been discontinued by the company but that its regular depositing mechanisms are still available.

Gutshot from UK Court -- The Guardian reports that Gutshot club owner Derek Kelly was found guilty of breaking the 1968 Gaming Act, but stated after the trial that he would continue to "campaign to have poker played among normal people and not casinos."

Dire Straits -- Lottery operator Chariot on Tuesday announced that its "monday" lottery may be forced to close if the company does not dispose of its assets shortly. Chariot in December said it had ended all negotiations on a possible takeover offer for the company but was still considering proposals regarding the disposal of assets or investment in the company. It also warned that it may need to "wind down" its operations should it fail to dispose of any assets or find additional funding. Ticket sales for the monday lottery, which offers a purse of £100,000 ($196,960), have continued to fall below the required level to sustain the game.

Fore! -- The Golf Channel on Tuesday announced its partnership with online fantasy sports contests provider Fanball to operate fantasy golf games on the Golf Channel's dot-com site.

Revamped -- Online gambling site InterXgaming.com recently revamped its entire brand portfolio, launching enhanced versions of its online casino, poker room and sports book.

Inked -- The Daily Mail on Jan. 10 reported that the Greyhound Racing Association has inked a three-year sponsorship deal of its Greyhound Derby with online bookmaker Blue Square. The bookmaker's title sponsorship rights of the Derby take effect in June 2007, including year-round branding rights at Wimbledon Stadium, which hosts the race.
