IGE SOFTWARE LAUNCH With International Gaming Exhibition comes a myriad of product launches, and NYX Interactive’s new bingo software won’t be left out of the mix.
On Monday, the software solutions provider said its new product will give operators flexibility for customization.
Created to give players a live bingo feel, the company said its design is quick to respond to every click. The software also allows for individual branding of each room as well as more in-room player options like the ability to transfer funds and view game-play history.
“We know the importance in making an operator’s bingo product different to the next one, and we’re now taking a leap towards meeting those needs, both in design flexibility and features,” said Staffan Lindgren of NYX Interactive in a prepared statement.
GAMING ON THE GO Spin3’s portfolio already permeated the iPhone market, and now the mobile game provider announced on Monday that it has entered another.
Matti Zinder, the company head, sees BlackBerry as the phone of choice for the company executive and business market.
“We are giving a user that relies on their BlackBerry device 24 hours a day, the opportunity to play casino games on the move, and in a way that fits around their busy lifestyles,” said Mr. Zinder in a prepare statement. “With this development, we have opened up a new, prosperous and previously untapped market for our mobile casino clients.”
The new portfolio of 15 casino games specifically for use on BlackBerry devices -- including the BlackBerry Storm, Pearl, Curve and Bold -- will be available through the company’s GameWire platform.
PLAYTECH ‘LIVE’ GOES EUROPEAN After testing the waters successfully in Asia, Playtech Ltd. is launching its “live” offering in Europe, the software provider said on Monday.
Located in Riga, Latvia, the European facilities have been designed and built on the same platform as Playtech Live Asia, the company said.
Made to replicate the look and feel of land-based casinos, the new live casino features experienced dealers with whom players can interact. Players can also view dealers spinning roulette tables and dealing cards for an added sense of security.
“Playtech’s upcoming European facing live casino games reflect our commitment to continually broaden our product range and upgrade its quality,” said Mor Weizer, chief executive of Playtech, in a prepared statement. “Expanding our live gaming offering is the natural next step for Playtech as we extend our reach and enhance the profitability of our licensees throughout Europe.”
NEW GERMAN CHANNEL E8 television, a project backed by the European TV broadcaster SpiritON Media S.E., has launched on Astra Platform Service’s digital package, according to Rapid TV News.
With test transmissions running for a little under a year, the channel airs horse races from Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, South Africa, the United States and Dubai.
A Web site that accompanies the channel also went live and features live-stream of all events featured on the television channel. The news service said viewers are invited to place bets on horses via the Internet.
