APPOINTING Neovia Financial has appointed John Bateson, 45, and Jonathan Comerford, 36, non-executive directors with immediate effect, the company announced on Tuesday.

According to Neovia, Mr. Bateson, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants In Ireland and finance director of International Investment and Underwriting, a fund management group, holds a number of other directorships including Barchester Healthcare Ltd., Datalex and Mid-States, the company said.

Mr. Comerford, an investment manager at International Investment & Underwriting in Dublin, was formerly with McKinsey & Company. He also holds a number of other directorships including acting as chairman of Mountain Province Diamonds Inc.

Neovia stated that Mr. Comerford is beneficially interested in 200 ordinary shares -- representing a fraction of the company's issued share capital.

A LITTLE D&D Whether it’s sinking battleships and slaying dragons, WagerWorks’ new branded Hasbro titles will be ready for combat at this year’s International Gaming Expo.

International Game Technology's online subsidiary will preview both “Dungeons and Dragons: Fortress of Fortunes,” a five-reel, 20-paylines slot based on the infamous fantasy role-playing game, and “Battleship: Search & Destroy,” a game based on the classic battle strategy.

WagerWorks will be giving away two Nintendo Wii game consoles during the three-day preview as well.

Additional games on display will include MegaJackpots’ “Cleopatra,” “Lil’ Lady” and “Triple Fortune Dragon.”

PARTNERING Betclick, a sports betting operator based in London, has become the official partner for online sports betting for Juventus Football Club S.p.A., according to ApostaGanha.

Nicolas Beraud, BetClick’s chief executive, was quoted as saying that this partnership shows that BetClick is making its mark in Europe and especially Italy.

AiG EARLY BIRD Conference organizers Clarion Gaming and Beacon Events have announced that attendees of the Asian i-Gaming Congress and Expo, or AiG, will be able to save $200 if registration is received by Friday, Jan. 23.

In its seventh year, the conference brings an exhaustive list of experts on gaming in the East together on Feb. 24-26 at the Venetian in Macau. Senior executives from a number of I-gaming companies, including AsianLogic Ltd., CryptoLogic Asia Pacific and Mahjong Time, will be on hand to discuss regional issues.
