New Stuff -- ukbetting plc today unveiled "ukbetting live," a new live in-game betting application that enables customers to bet from their computers on incidents throughout the course of football matches. Players at the company's online sports book, ukbetting.com, can now wager on events such as which team will win the next throw, whether a given player will score the next goal or whether a penalty kick will result in a goal. The technology behind the service was developed by ukbetting's strategic partner, Global Interactive Gaming Ltd. of London. The service was soft-launched for the Worthington Cup Semi Final Second Leg matches held on Tuesday and Wednesday. . . . They've already gone barking mad, now they're going red. Gaming Insight announced in November that it would re-brand its interactive TV greyhound betting channel, "gobarkingmad," as "Red Button Racing." As reported today by Net Imperative, The red button will be pushed next week when the company unveils the new brand. The company also announced a deal with Press Association News for the publishing of race-form and race-card content as well as the appointment of Haresh Kanabar as its permanent finance director.

Makin' Deals -- Betfair, the world's largest betting exchange and one of online gambling's top headline grabbers, today announced a pair of new partnerships. In the promotions department, the site has contracted Digit-All to manage its online media buying and search engine definitions. Betfair has additionally tapped Glue London to advise it on online strategy and creative execution. The new relationships, said Director of Communications Mark Davies, are part of an effort to break into international markets. Currently, the majority of the site's business comes from British customers.

This Week in Spam -- SurfControl, a company that produces Web filtering solutions, recently released a list of what it has identified as the United States' top 10 most annoying spam messages, and ads for online gambling came in a sixth place.
