Red Scare -- London-listed online operator 32Red saw its share value plummet 30 percent today, after the company released a trading statement that revealed player yield across its poker and casino products fell 45 percent against last year's figures. Casino yield per player was down 45 percent to £467 ($915), while poker yield per player dropped 30 percent to £82 ($160) against 2005.
Macau for the Very First Time -- Financial Times reported on Thursday that Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group is close to securing a 20-hectare site in Macau to construct a $3 billion casino operation. The paper said Branson had been in negotiations with Macau's leader, CEO Edmund Ho, on Wednesday to shore up arrangements for the planned entertainment complex featuring three hotels and a casino, which could open as early as 2010.
