Mobile Harrah's -- Mobile entertainment developer and provider Glu Mobile, and Harrah's License Company, an affiliate of Harrah's Entertainment, announced last week a partnership to create and publish World Series of Poker-branded applications, including multiplayer games, graphics, ring tones and other content for mobile users. "Harrah’s and the World Series of Poker are two of the biggest brands in the entertainment industry," said Greg Ballard, president and CEO of Glu Mobile. "The ever-increasing popularity of poker and the emerging consumer excitement of multiplayer mobile games combine to make this a timely and powerful alliance."

New Deals -- Interactive Systems Worldwide Inc., creator of patented real-time betting software system SportXction, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Global Interactive Gaming Limited (GIG) has launched SportXction on Littlewoods Betdirect's Internet site. GIG will offer play-by-play wagering on well over 1,500 soccer, tennis, golf, cricket, rugby and snooker events in the coming year on and will continue to work on bringing SportXction to mobile phone and personal digital assistant devices. . . . Skill games and P2P network supplier GameAccount has made a deal to provide Sky Bet, a division of British Sky Broadcasting Limited (BSkyB), with skill gaming services for its Gamestar portal. GameAccount's single-wallet solution will bring Sky and its affiliated sites an effective way to increase traffic and revenues, while appealing to a broad customer demographic. Sky Bet is in good company in this deal. Betting providers already taking advantage of GameAccount's system include SportingBet, Paddy Power, UKbetting, Gamebookers Betwwts, BetCRIS and Cybersportsbook. . . . SkillJam EU Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of online gaming provider Fun Technologies plc, has signed a two-year agreement to develop a private-label skill gaming platform for Denmark's largest television station, TV2 Denmark A/S. SkillJam will create, operate and support a platform for TV2's existing Danish gaming channel, TV2 Spil, and enable audiences to play tournament-style online games for cash and prizes; it will also offer gaming downloads and subscriptions. . . . British video game developer Bits Corp plc, which recently announced plans for a foray into the online gaming industry, has reportedly signed significant agreements with gaming companies Palace Group and Microgaming. Bits Corp said it will use its technology in the field of online gambling on a revenue sharing basis but did not provide further details. Bits also announced, in a separate statement, that it intends to ask shareholders for authorization to raise additional capital to fund its marketing campaign and to install the infrastructure needed for Internet gambling.
