Carruthers on the Move -- BetOnSports CEO David Carruthers's bond hearing was postponed today at the request of his attorney, Tim Evans. The hearing will instead be held in federal district court in St. Louis., where the indictment was drawn, but no date has been set. "We are very optimistic that the court in St. Louis can fashion some reasonable conditions for his release,'' Evans said.

Botox Betting -- Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson is reportedly so into poker that she is launching her own online poker room. PamelaPoker.com, part of the Doyle Brunson Poker Network, will go live Saturday.

BoS Fallout -- British betting and gaming group GalaCoral announced today that it has blocked U.S. bets on its Web sites, although, according to the company, a very small number of its business comes from the U.S. "This is in view of the current uncertainty over the U.S. legal situation," a spokesman for the company said. "A very small number of U.S. citizens have played bingo and poker on the Web site and Gala has never taken bets on U.S. sporting events and has never advertised in the U.S."

On the Lighter Side -- PokerShare.com is sponsoring Mikey the Chimp at the 2006 World Series of Poker. The online poker room will be holding a press conference July 27 at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas at which Mikey and his trainers will be on hand to answer questions regarding the primate's training for the WSOP and his cognitive abilities. After the press conference Mikey will challenge a journalist to a live poker match. And to put the whip cream on the banana split, PokerShare will sponsor all of Mikey's losing opponents to come back to next year's World Series of Poker.
