Carruthers Update -- The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri released a statement today announcing that ex-BetonSports CEO David Carruthers and the four others in custody on charges of racketeering, fraud and money laundering in connection with illegal Internet gambling will appear in St. Louis before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Ann Medler for arraignment on July 31 at 11:30 a.m. There will also be another hearing on the temporary restraining Order at 2 p.m.

Mobile Float -- U.K. mobile gaming company Probability Games Corporation said Thursday that it seeks to raise £4.1 million through an Aug. 10, 2006 admission of its ordinary shares on the Alternative Investment Market. The company uses its own gambling licenses, proprietary technology and FSA-registered payment solution to offer a suite of casino, bingo and lottery games for the mobile sector. Evolution Securities has been appointed as advisor and broker for the listing.

Mobile Launch -- Online gambling software company Playtech announced Wednesday the launch of its first real-money mobile application and is working closely with its Asian licensees in preparation to launch a fully operative customized product for the Japanese and South Korean markets by the end of 2006. Playtech has also signed an agreement to license exclusive intellectual property rights to elements of mahjong and aims to launch the first phase of its mahjong product by the end of 2006.

Greentube Adds Three -- Austrian skill gaming solutions provider Greentube AG has completed the integration of the Internet portals of Austrian sports betting companies Interwetten AG, Admiral Sportwetten AG, and of German broadcasting channel Pro7 Schweiz. Most of the portals are operated independently by the partners, while the background technology is provided by Greentube.

Chartwell Upgrade -- I-gaming software provider Chartwell Technology Inc. today announced the release of Version 2.1 of its multiplayer poker product. The company said the new version contains both player-side enhancements, including display filters and a "favorites" area, and back-end optimizations with improvements made to the system design. The communication protocols have been optimized to reduce the bandwidth requirements to operate and prepare the system for the upcoming launch of the company's Flash poker product.

Fallon Denied -- Irish champion jockey Kieron Fallon lost his High Court appeal today and will not be allowed to ride in Britain until the end of his race-fixing trial, which isn't expected to happen until July 2007. Fallon was among 11 people charged this month in Britain's biggest race-fixing investigation. The defendants are accused of conspiring to defraud customers of online betting exchange Betfair between December 2002 and September 2004. Fallon denies the charges.

Stock Watch -- The London Stock Exchange fluctuated today, with mostly losers in the I-gaming sector. Neteller dropped 20.50p, closing at 377, while William Hill was down 4.5p to 600.50; Sportingbet dropped 4.5p to 250.5; 888 lost 4p closing at 153; and Ladbrokes shed 2.5p to end trading at 390.5. On the upside was Fun Technologies, which closed at 283.5, up 8.5p.
