Donating -- Online sports book WagerWeb.com announced today that it will donate all proceeds from hurricane betting to the American Red Cross. The company was recently featured on CNN because of the controversy that betting on natural disasters and hurricanes is causing. "Although we base our odds on requests by the public, we also feel we have an obligation to give back to the communities where our bettors reside, so this was the perfect solution," said Dave Johnson, CEO of WagerWeb.com.

Providing -- Online gaming company Cantor Gaming, a division of financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, announced today the launch of FHM Casino on men's lifestyle site FHM.com in partnership with British media group Emap plc, FHM.com's operator. Cantor is providing a fully operating end-to-end gaming service, including customer age and location verification, online payment processing, customer services and all necessary legal and regulatory approvals.

Launching -- British independent bookmaker Sunderlands, a traditional betting operation that focuses on high rollers and has 11,000 customers, is celebrating its 60th birthday this week with the launch of a new online betting site, sunderlands.eu. The new site, registered in Malta, is powered by Swedish gaming company Cherry's wholly owned Internet gaming subsidiary, Net Entertainment.

Sponsoring -- Interactive Gaming Holdings has signed an online sponsorship deal with Microsoft, allowing the online sports betting and gaming operator to run four banner ads for its sports betting site, Premier Bet, on the fantasy football section of the MSN Web site during the World Cup. The promotional incentives will appear in the daily e-mail sent out to all of MSN's Fantasy Football registered users throughout the World Cup.
