CUT 888 Holdings could cut as many as 40 jobs in Gibraltar, the Gibraltar Chronicle reports.
A company spokesman told the paper the cuts come because of recession-related pressure and foreign-exchange volatility.
The spokesman said a 60-day consultation period with employees is set to commence, which could change the number of layoffs.
888 follows in the footsteps of PartyGaming, which last September cut a number of its staff there.
