Daily Mail reports Nikolay Davydenko is set to be cleared following the longest inquiry ever held into match-fixing in tennis.

Centrebet Chief Executive Con Kafataris said his company is well-positioned to exploit new opportunities in its native Australia, following Thursday's High Court verdict.

"Importantly, the High Court has said that the states and territories must follow policies that are non-discriminatory and non-protectionist, and that betting is a national -- if not international -- market," said Kafataris.

The AAP reports Unitab, which holds race- and sports-betting licensure in Queensland, would set up a service similar to Betfair's should punters in the state "embrace" Betfair's exchange-betting offering.

Following on New Zealand media reports earlier this week -- which suggested the government will commence with online lottery sales by April's end -- the country's Green Party has come out against the decision, arguing online sales target a segment "very vulnerable to potential gambling harm."

Peter Dicks, non-executive chairman at Sportingbet, took nearly £50,000 in company shares Thursday, upping his stake by more than half. Dicks, who rejoined Sportingbet in January, purchased 119,000 shares at 38.5p each, taking his holding to 339,440 shares.

Bwin has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Dorna Sports, which holds the commercial rights to MotoGP. The agreement runs through the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
