Racing Update -- U.K. bookmaker William Hill is saying that the amount bet on the FA Cup Final will be the largest amount on an FA Final ever. "Up to £10 million will be staked on the outcome of the FA Cup Final--a new record--and in response to the huge betting interest in the game we are pulling out all the stops and offering a wider range of bets than ever before," said Graham Sharpe, William Hill's spokesman. "Punters can choose from over one hundred betting markets on the game."

Legal Stuff -- Adrian McPherson's trial on gambling charges will begin on June 2, with jury selection taking place on May 30, the Associated Press reported today. McPherson is facing gambling charges related to his dismissal from the Florida State football team in November in connection with Internet gambling and stealing checks. The former quarterback's lawyer, Grady Irvin Jr. , had argued for a jury trial for his client. McPherson will receive a separate trial in July for the checks case.
