Unfair Spin -- Fairground Gaming Holdings announced today that it will "dispose of its gaming operations" in compliance with UIGEA. The company said that a unanimous board decision had been taken to sell Spin Palace Group, its U.S.-facing gaming operation, back to the major shareholder, Seahouses Holdings. Total consideration for the payment will be £11 million ($20.8 million) with an initial cash payment of £5 million ($9.4 million) made to Seahouses, which will take on all liabilities, player balances and employees of Spin Palace, Fairground said in a prepared statement.
No Cayenne? -- Online casino 32Red announced that its latest acquisition, betting site Bet Direct, will be re-branded by Pepper Corporation. Pepper will develop a new identity for the sports-betting operation and create a communications strategy aimed at raising awareness of the site.
