AGREEMENT Playtech has announced today an agreement with Gala Coral Group's Eurobet Italia, an Italy-based sportsbook. The deal marks Playtech’s second Italian licensee -- the first being Snai SpA, a betting operator.

Under agreement terms, the software developer will give Eurobet a complete portfolio of poker games following Italian regulations. Currently the software is ready for download in a play-for-fun mode with the “real money” version set to launch by the end of the year.

“We are committed to continue expanding our presence in regulated European markets in general and to specifically further establish our presence in the Italian market and look forward to working with Eurobet to provide an exciting gaming experience for Italian players,” Mor Weizer, Playtech’s chief executive, said in a prepared statement.

LAUNCHED NYX Interactive, a gaming industry solutions provider, and Svenska Spel, Sweden’s betting and poker monopoly, have launched new bingo and lottery platforms.

The new platforms use the NYX gaming platform and its variety of tournament games, WebTV broadcasts, add-on games and customized bingo rooms taking it to an even higher level of functionality, according to the company.

“With the new platform we at Svenska Spel take a strengthened position amongst the ever tougher competition on the Swedish market,” Mikael Franzén, vice president of business for svenskaspel.se, said. “Keeping a market-leading position requires innovation, speed, flexibility and constant originality. With the NYX Interactive platform and products, we will create these conditions.”

PENNED Entraction has penned an agreement with DOXXbet Ltd. to supply the eastern European bookmaker with poker software and access to its poker network.

The poker software will be used at DOXXbet’s new venture DOXXpoker.com.

"Our target markets have strong player communities and our priority will be to increase the positive awareness of poker, co-operating with several National Poker Associations starting in Slovakia and the Czech Republic,” Stefan Svec, casino and poker senior manager of DOXXbet, said. ”The strong knowledge about additional markets in Eastern Europe will provide excellent opportunities to promote our online sites."
