Neteller Hearings Continued, No Agreement Reached

16 May 2007

Neteller co-founders Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre have not reached an agreement with the U.S. government and have yet to be indicted.

In another continuation, the fourth, Lawrence and Lefebvre today were given another two weeks to prepare their case.

The co-founders were arrested in January and charged with money laundering in connection with Internet gambling.

Rebekah Carmichael, spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's office, has explained in the past that these hearings serve merely as "calendar placeholders," or deadlines for the government to bring forth an indictment.

The next hearing date is set for May 30.
