London-listed payment processor Neteller last week agreed to a $136 million settlement with the U.S. government, which grants the company freedom from prosecution of any federal crimes, so long as it fulfills certain obligations set out by the Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) within a two-year time frame.
Among the obligations, Neteller has agreed to begin implementing by July 30, 2007 a plan to return approximately $94 million in funds to U.S. customers abandoned upon the company's withdrawal from the market in January.
IGN has also obtained a copy of the complete DPA.
