Nevada sports books saw the lowest amount wagered at this year’s Super Bowl since 2004, Bloomberg reports.
Based on data from the state’s 176 sports books, the $81.5 million wagered on the 2009 Super Bowl was 11 percent lower than in 2008, when $92 million was wagered on the New York Giants and New England Patriots game, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The highest amount wagered in the last decade was in 2006, when sports books saw $94 million in wagers.
