Unibet Chief Executive Petter Nylander will be extradited from the Netherlands to France on Wednesday, the company said this morning.
"This is a very complicated legal process and we will of course follow the instructions from the authorities," said acting CEO Ragnar Hellenius in a written statement. "We take for granted that when Petter is finally on French soil on Wednesday, the judge will release him.
"For us, Petter's release is most important and we are working with the authorities to facilitate the process," he added.
Last Monday, Nylander was detained by Dutch authorities after a warrant was issued by a French judge in Nantarre for his arrest.
The Française des Jeux said late last week that the warrant was issued because Nylander had refused to attend an interview at the behest of French authorities--and that had he "presented himself when he was asked to, of course the jduge would not have issued an arrest warrant against him."
