(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests during May 2025 was $601,833,369, an increase of 15.52% from last May.
This was also the first month that gross gaming revenue exceeded $600 million.

Slot Machine RevenueMay’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $224,873,947, an 5.02% increase in revenue when compared to the $214,133,424 generated in May 2024.
The number of slot machines in operation in May 2025 was 24,347 compared to 24,862 at the casinos in May 2024.
Retail Table Games RevenueRetail Table Games revenue for May 2025 was $79,915,903, a decrease of 4.55% from May 2024 when revenue was $83,725,161.
Internet Casino-Type Gaming (iGaming) RevenueCasino games offered online generated monthly gross revenue totaling $232,853,763 during May 2025. Compared to revenue of $174,089,510 in May 2024, this represents an increase of 33.76%.
Sports Wagering RevenueMay 2025 total sports wagering handle was $655,358,227, 10.72% above the May 2024 total of $591,912,627.
The taxable revenue figure for May 2025 was $59,417,240, or 34.39% higher when compared to May 2024, when taxable revenue was $44,212,853.
Video Gaming TerminalsTotal adjusted revenue for May 2025 for video gaming terminals was $3,683,566, 0.08% lower than May 2024 when revenue was $3,686,448. By the end of May 2025, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 75 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 74 establishments at this time last year.
Fantasy ContestsFantasy Contests revenue was $1,088,950 in May 2025, a decrease of -5.35% over May 2024, when revenue was $1,150,472.
