PartyGaming has appointed Jim Ryan, former chief executive of Excapsa and St. Minver, to fill the chief executive position vacated by Mitch Garber. The company has also created a new managing director position that will be filled by John O'Malia, who was chief executive of Gamebookers before it was purchased by PartyGaming in August 2006.
Ryan's appointment will take effect shortly, following the handover of his current responsibilities at St. Minver. Garber leaves PartyGaming tomorrow (May 16), but will remain available as part of the handover process until July 31.
PartyGaming also announced that non-executive chairman Michael Jackson is stepping down within the next three to four months, following the induction of the new chief executive and the selection of a new chairman.
