(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming including fantasy contests during May 2026 was $625,467,775 or 3.93% above revenue generated in May 2025.
The revenue total was also the highest monthly amount to date of revenue from the types of gaming regulated by the agency: slot machines and table games in casinos, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals. The previous high was achieved in January 2025 at $623,092,053.
The resulting tax revenue during May of this year was $269,949,950.

The following chart compiles all revenue generated in May 2026 by casinos, along with fantasy contests and VGTs operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated in May 2025.
Retail Table Games RevenueRetail Table Games revenue for May 2026 was $81,244,322, an increase of 1.66% from May 2025 when revenue was $79,915,903.
Internet Casino-Type Gaming (iGaming) RevenueCasino games offered online generated $254,825,042 during May 2026. Compared to revenue of $232,853,763 in May 2025, this represents an increase of 9.44%.
Sports Wagering RevenueMay 2026 total sports wagering handle was $595,569,802 or 9.12% below the May 2025 handle of $655,358,227. The taxable revenue figure for May 2026 was $52,642,686, or 11.4% lower when compared to May 2025, when taxable revenue was $59,417,240.
Video Gaming TerminalsTotal adjusted revenue for May 2026 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,567,771 or 3.14% lower than May 2025 when revenue was $3,683,566. By the end of May 2026, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 75 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 73 establishments at this time last year.
Fantasy ContestsFantasy Contests revenue was $1,124,858 in May 2026, an increase of 3.30% over May 2025, when revenue was $1,088,950.
