“Packs is exactly what PrizePicks is about: building engaging experiences our customers want, in a responsible way,” said Mike Ybarra, CEO of PrizePicks. “We’re huge sports fans, and many of us collect cards. Purchasing physical packs isn’t the easiest process, so we built a seamless way to collect based on customer feedback. Packs gives both casual fans and collectors direct access to rare, premium sports and Pokémon cards that were previously out of reach because of price tags and auction restrictions. We always want to push the sports entertainment experience forward and that is exactly what we are doing with the launch of Packs.”
PrizePicks Packs merges virtual pack openings with real-world asset ownership, giving fans and collectors a whole new way to interact with PrizePicks. Collectors can rip digital packs, instantly sell back pulled cards for 100% fair market value or have real physical collectibles shipped straight to their doorstep.
Available in all 50 states and D.C., PrizePicks Packs features basketball, football, and Pokémon categories with nine accessible pricing tiers ranging from $1 to $2,500. Each pack tier gives customers transparency about the likelihood of pulling high-value cards or landing a game-changing mega-grail. The higher the pack tier, the more likely a customer is to pull a higher value card.
Committed to maintaining a safe and sustainable experience, PrizePicks is bringing its industry-leading customer protection tools to the digital collectibles category. With over $50 million invested in its Responsible Use program annually, PrizePicks’ tools include age-gating restrictions, “Know Your Customer” financial transaction protocols, exclusion lists, mandatory deposit limits, and the industry’s first behavioral health services with no out-of-pocket customer expense. These protections are fully integrated at launch, with unified account protections that ensure customer safety always comes first.
"Customer protection is non-negotiable at PrizePicks; it's at the core of everything we do," said Jason Barclay, Chief Legal Officer and Head of Public Policy at PrizePicks. "We are committed to Responsible Use — not by checking boxes, but by designing protections into every aspect of how our customers engage with our products, including PrizePicks Packs. Being recognized as the industry’s leader, we are dedicated to doing what is right from day one."
As PrizePicks continues to expand to new markets, investment in Responsible Use remains a key focus. In 2025, PrizePicks was awarded iCAP accreditation by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) for its Responsible Gaming practices and efforts, becoming the first and only fantasy sports operator to earn the certification.
