Public to Dole Out National Lottery Funds

17 November 2008

Players in the United Kingdom National Lottery will be given a say in the allocation of funds to good causes.

The Big Lottery Fund, or B.L.F., has opened a public consultation on how billions of pounds from National Lottery sales should be spent over the next six years.

The fund, the biggest distributor of lottery money, wants organizations and individuals to join a debate on how an estimated £2 billion should be shared out between 2009 and 2015.

The consultation will take place in a series of online, national, regional and local face-to-face activities until Feb. 24, 2009.
