The demolition and expansion of Rubicon Casino, located in Wolverhampton, England, is set to create 30 new jobs.
Currently searching for a new location, Blue Chip Casinos, which owns Rubicon, is seeking to replace the 12,000-square-foot casino with a much larger space. According to Allan Griffiths, club manager, they are looking at sites that will nearly double the size of the current location on Temple Street, where about 70 people now work.
“The long term plan is to make it a more of an entertainment venue,” Mr. Savage, operations director Blue Chip, said. “It will have live entertainment, bars, restaurants and cafes.”
The current location will close at the beginning of 2009.
