Las Vegas Sands Corporation plans to open its latest casino in Bethlehem, Pa., on May 22, the company announced on Tuesday.
Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, which will feature 3,000 slot machines and be the company’s first East Coast venture, has already provided a boost in the local economy by providing jobs, according to The Sands.
”The positive impact of the Sands Bethlehem is already being felt across the region as we continue to hire the more than 1,000 employees we need to operate the property,” said Robert DeSalvio, the Sands Bethlehem President in a company statement.
The Las Vegas company said the casino’s master plan includes an additional 2,000 slot machines, 200,000 square feet of shopping space and a 300-room hotel.
