Oaktree Capital Corporation, a US-based investment management company is planning to build a $5 billion seaside luxury casino resort in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Oaktree's plans include 4,000 hotel rooms, an entertainment area, a yacht quay, a golf course, a helipad to transfer tourists, a casino for foreigners and a cable car system.
The firm says it has met with city officials and obtained approval for its plan, but it has not specified a timeframe for the project's completion.
Oaktree manages around $52 billion in assets, including equities, property and bonds.
