(PRESS RELEASE) -- Simplebet, the global technology leader in micro-betting products, is celebrating the completion of a record-breaking 2023-24 NFL regular season and playoffs, as it looks ahead to Super Bowl 58 between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.
The micro-betting supplier saw increases across the board, taking nearly 18 million bets over the duration of the regular season, a 60% increase from the year prior. Handle also rose 60% compared to the previous season, showcasing the engagement of Simplebet’s micro-markets. The supplier’s micro-betting markets were also able to reach a wider audience this year, with 1.6M unique users placing a micro-bet throughout the NFL season across Simplebet partners.
Simplebet saw its momentum from the regular season carry over to the postseason, with strong performances across the first three rounds of the playoffs, where its markets produced nearly $70M in total postseason handle on three million bets, the first time that the supplier has hit this mark in bets pre-Super Bowl. $14M in handle was taken across Championship weekend.
The micro-betting leader saw a high level of engagement from fans across every available region over the course of the season, however, the three teams that received the most micro-bets this season across Simplebet partners were the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, and Buffalo Bills. The states that saw the most engaged users by bets placed this season were New York, Ohio, and Illinois
“This NFL season was one to remember for Simplebet” said Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua. “Not only did we go live in new states with new operators, but we also created unique betting markets that changed the way users engage with the NFL broadcast, leading to new highs across the board for us. With the Super Bowl on the horizon, we can’t wait to create new pathways for fans to engage with the big game in ways they’ve never done so before.”
